The mission of the Hampton Roads Medical Scholars Institute is to assist black males from Hampton Roads to successfully matriculate into medical school. In order to address the black male physician crisis, we concentrate our efforts to bridge the gap in health provider disparities nationwide by starting at home. We are committed to provide our scholars with the tools and resources to prepare them not only to become physicians, but also leaders in the community.
