The Hampton Roads Medical Scholars Institute (501c3) is a community based organization created by four physicians, a medical student, a lawyer and an educator to reach, teach, mentor and guide black men to become physicians and medical leaders of the future..

Our inspiration and motivation started from a conversation among friends sharing our individual journey, experiences, backgrounds and often unconventional pathways to becoming medical leaders. We want to provide guidance and resources for our scholars to navigate the obstacles to success in the field of medicine. Join our mentorship efforts and support the next generation matriculate from High School age Seniors through Medical School. We obtained our (501c3) status in 2021.
